VIP UNITED FC
VIP United F.C. was formed in 1997 by Roland Noel. Coach Noel was a local High School coach at the time and found motivation to start this club when he recognized the need for a place for these players to play off season, in the fall. Coach Noel is still involved with the Club as Executive Director after 28 years.
In 2001 a team of 8 & 9 year olds (U10) was formed, the VIP United FC Cougars. This team played in the Club for 10 years and eventually ended up as a top 10 team in the State of Virginia. Since that time, we have developed many competitive travel teams and currently have multiple teams playing across all age groups. Our teams play in TASL (Tidewater Advanced Soccer League) as well as NPL (National Premier League).
VIP United FC also has a state sponsored developmental program for children from 3 thru 8 yrs old. This program focuses on the development of skills required for the sport, and fun. The Recreational Director, Vicki Signorelli, was awarded the Coach of the Year Award by the Virginia Youth Soccer Association (VYSA) in 2019.
VIP is a non-profit organization. We pride ourselves on being able to provide an experience that is warm, welcoming and encouraging of a family like environment. Our players, teams and coaches strive to be supportive and cheer for one another. Coach Noel’s mission statement for our club 28 years ago was “Family, Fun and Fundamentals” and we still strive to support that mission statement.
